Q: How did Expected come about?
A:
Expected Maternity was established by two sisters, Becca Taylor and Kristy Olsen, devoted to helping expecting mothers look and feel as beautiful as they are throughout their pregnancy. Wanting to bring an eclectic and fun sense of style to the pregnant women around them, they came up with the idea to open a maternity boutique that caters to those who have a desire to stay stylish from beginning to end of their pregnancy.
Q: What is the Expected store philosophy?
A:
Expected is dedicated to finding a woman’s personal style and enhancing or helping her maintaining it during her nine month adventure. When you walk in the doors you immediately feel a sense of calmness and beauty, which flows over into the entire shopping experience. A television for the kids and dads and a play area help keep mom focused on her for a little bit, which every mother needs!
Q: What type of products does Expected specialize in?
A:
We specialize in fashion forward clothing and accessories. While designer denim is a main focus, we also carry funky tees, sweet dresses, clothes for the working mom and comfortable everyday wear.
Q: What is it that set Expected apart from any other competitor? A:
Our quality and customer service is what sets us apart from other competitors. Whether you live across the street or across the world, we get to know our customers first hand and help them with any specific needs they might have in the shortest time possible.
Q: Which Bumble style is the most popular in your store?
A:
The Jessica Messenger bag is our most popular style in the store. The easy transition from messenger, to backpack, to shoulder bag works really well for our mom’s that have their hands full, and the stroller straps that come with each bag is great for keeping things organized and easily accessible while on the move. Whatever the situation, the Jessica just seems to effortlessly assist these moms-on-the-go.
Q: What are main features that mothers should look for when purchasing their bag?
A:
Every diaper bag should come with a changing pad, insulated bottle carriers and plenty of organizational pockets…and of course it should be cute!
Q: What is your favorite print?
A:
Oh, that is a tough question, they are all so cute! However, I would have to say that my personal favorite is probably the Lemon/Lime Dot. I’m a sucker for greens and browns and I love the retro swirly dot pattern it makes. It’s also perfect for those that don’t want a gender specific bag. Hubbies are much more likely to carry diaper bags when their masculinity isn’t being compromised!
Q: Any tidbits of info you would like to share?
A:
A diaper bag is a MUST HAVE for every new mom, and with the Bumble Collection any taste can be met. We are very happy to be able to offer these items to our customers…and so are they!
Q: What are some future plans or endeavors coming up for Expected?
A:
Because customer service is our top priority we want to keep that our focus always. Expected’s storefront and online shop is increasing in business everyday and we want to grow with the demand while maintaining the feeling of a locally owned boutique dedicated to our customers.
